I thought nicotine helped my distance training. It was actually hurting.
By Joe
I’m an ultra marathon athlete. I love trail runs, and being out in nature while I train is my go-to for fitness and my mental health.
I was using chew to help with my energy on my longer runs.
I went through 2 cans a day. I know, not good.
For a long time, I didn’t realize it wasn’t really helping.
Well, really, I was lying to myself.
Because chew was just perpetuating the craving cycle disguised as “help.”
I needed it to just feel normal, never mind dialed in.
And I loved the habit, but I hated needing it.
I was an elite athlete yet I was putting this garbage in my body.
I wanted out.
Then I read this book about quitting nicotine, and it involved an identity shift.
It resonated with me in a real way.
I hadn’t yet discovered Flow. So I didn’t see another way besides an identity shift, and cold turkey.
Even though cold turkey seemed daunting and painful.
And in the end, let me tell you, it was. And actually, it took me a few tries.
But now I’m proud of myself for locking in and quitting.
It wasn’t until after I’d quit nic that I discovered Flow Pouches from a Facebook ad, and realized I could’ve replaced the bad habit with a healthy one instead.
Now I use Flow Pouches. But man, do I ever wish I’d found them sooner.
Flow would’ve made quitting 100x easier.
Nicotine may have stimulated me. But Flow actually helps me perform.
I’ve been training with Flow Pouches for a few months now, and here’s what I’ve noticed.
First and foremost, my energy feels steadier during training. No jitters. No wired, overstimulated feeling. No crash.
Just smooth, steady energy that kicks in within moments and lasts the whole training session, and well after.
I’m talking long, extended runs. Still, Flow lasts.
My breathing during training feels more effortless too. Actually, I barely notice it, which is maybe the biggest tell.
And my recovery, well that feels more effortless as well. I am able to get out to the trails more often now.
It feels like my body’s working with me, not against me.
And it’s finally clicked.
I’d confused stimulation for performance.
Flow just feels different. And it makes sense.
Better input, better output.
With Flow, I finally understand how good I can actually feel.
Once I tried Flow Pouches, everything changed.
And as soon as I realized how they work, it all started making sense.
First off, these pouches contain naturally derived ingredients.
That alone is a win, especially considering a lot of the synthetic junk out there.
Flow delivers functional mushrooms to support focus and energy. Plus a clinically studied energy ingredient TeaCrine® derived from kucha tea leaves, and vitamin B12 to support energy naturally as well.
They taste great too without artificial flavors and sweeteners. I like the Wintergreen ones. Same flavor as my old chew, but better tbh.
And I get peace of mind knowing I’m putting something good in my body.
The biggest win? Flow Pouches do what they say they will.
For me, that’s smoother energy. And I feel overall better than I have in years.
I refuse to go back to the jittery, wired, crash cycle and generally just feeling like sh*t. Like I’m just hanging on until I can throw another dip in.
Listen, I know, “functional mushrooms” sounds very granola.
But I recently went down a Reddit rabbit hole and learned that these mushrooms have actually been used for centuries for their wellness properties.
And, unlike a lot of mushroom products out there, Flow only uses organic, 100% fruiting bodies of the mushrooms—no cheap filler ingredients like mycelium.
(If you don’t already know, look it up.)
Flow Pouches deliver premium Cordyceps, Reishi, and Lion’s Mane, with buccal delivery.
Buccal = more bioavailable absorption through the gums.
That combo just works for me.
I’ve always been an athlete through and through. Now I feel even more legit, not like I’m hiding some dirty secret.
It’s Flow for me, here on out.
